Prayer For The Chaos

Are you tired of all the bad news and chaos in the world? Look to God for assurance and hope. Jesus has been through worse than this and he was victorious. We have been joined with him in that victory. Here is a prayer to help you refocus your souls on chaotic days…

O God,

in the midst of the cacophony of voices

that crush our spirit and deny our calling,

voices that say,

“Who do you think you are?”

we listen to hear your voice of affirmation

calling us to be and do

what you have called us to be and do.

During this time of disruption quiet our fears,

soothe our bruised souls,

and energize us for ministry

in and with your beloved world.

Let faith, hope and love abide—

here in our community,

here in our world,

but most of all, here in us. Amen.
